Marriages

weddingsA minimum of six months notice must be given to allow for the Parish Priest to prepare a man and a woman for Christian Marriage. Catholics believe that Christian Marriage is a Sacrament, sometimes called the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Before any plans are made, you should contact the Parish Priest who will advise you of what to do next. Those who are not resident within the parish boundary must obtain the permission of their own parish priest.

Marriages are not conducted on New Years Day, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
