A minimum of six months notice must be given to allow for the Parish Priest to prepare a man and a woman for Christian Marriage. Catholics believe that Christian Marriage is a Sacrament, sometimes called the Sacrament of Matrimony.
Before any plans are made, you should contact the Parish Priest who will advise you of what to do next.
Marriages are not conducted on New Years Day, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
Marriages are by appointment only and must be discussed with the parish priest prior to the couple making any bookings for receptions.
